To get backlinks for your blog is easy, a simple search on google for "backlinks" will provide with tons of sites that allow you to submit your site, easily and most of the time free.
Some sites will charge you a $5 fee for a 12 month listing, this is optional, and as i have never done this, whether a free or paid listing makes a difference is untried by me.
